Michigan Tuesday: Wolverines At The NFL Combine
Here are the Player Positions Schedules if you want to tune in on TV (NFL Network):
Friday: RB and OL
Saturday: QB, WR, and TE
Sunday: LB and DL
Monday: CB and DB
If you haven't been following the mock drafts, Peppers has been dropping due to uncertainty of what his true position is, at this point he could drop out of the first round. Taco has been rising up the first round and could be a top 10 pick now.
I think if Peppers runs a 4.3-4.4 40 yard dash could shoot back up the draft. Chris Johnson still holds the combine record at a 4.24.

Playground Specialists opens new headquarters
Playground Specialists, a full-service recreation company, has expanded its presence in Thurmont and plans to adds up to 25 new jobs. The company purchased 11 acres of property on Apples Church Road last year, where it constructed a new 21,000 square-foot facility to house its Frederick County headquarters. An official grand opening ceremony was held this morning at the recently completed building.
The company decided to grow its headquarters after signing a new contract and expanding its services into Kentucky. With the additional territory, Playground Specialists expects to double its sales in the next four years. The company also works with customers in Washington D.C., West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland.
“We feel that this new headquarters will provide us room to expand into many new opportunities,” said Jeff Barber, founder and owner of Playground Specialists. “Our company has grown each year, mainly because this team of people love what they do and love where we work. This new place is not only much larger, but designed to be fun and functional for everything we need.”
“Ensuring hard-working citizens in every region of the state have access to new job opportunities is a top priority of our administration,” said Governor Larry Hogan. “Playground Specialists is a homegrown company and it is welcome news that they are continuing to grow and add jobs right here in Maryland.”
Playground Specialists works with commercial customers to provide everything from the design to the installation of playgrounds. The company prides itself on designing equipment to meet the needs of all children while providing a safe and fun place to play. The company works with schools, churches, recreation departments, homeowner associations, and more.

Michigan Monday: Coach B Does It Again
Up - Has a good pre-Big 10 season and sets up for a nice run in the Big 10
Down - During the early to mid Big Ten season, the team struggles on the road and loses a head scratcher at home. Rumors about Coach B being on the hot seat start popping up.
Up- Team finishes the regular season strong and gets into the NCAA tournament.
Michigan had a strong senior day and beat the #14 Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday afternoon. With this win, the Wolverines seem strongly in the NCAA Tournament. Michigan still has to go on the road to play a tough Northwestern team (looking for it's first ever NCAA invite) and Nebraska. Hopefully, the Wolverines can win both or split the pair before the Big 10 Tournament.
Michigan is never going to be able to get a ton of one and done guys. Those player are not who Coach B recruits. I think the goal of this program is to be a Wisconsin like team. Top 25 team, makes the tournament every year, and once every 5 years makes a run to the Final 4 with some guys they developed.
- I usually don't like reporting recruiting news for two classes out but with the small numbers expected in 2018, it seems the coaches are making the 2019 class a priority. 2019 four-star OLB Anthony Solomon who was just up for a visit is planning to attend the Spring Game. (I don't believe there is any relation to Aubrey).
- 2018 4-star TE Brevin Jordan of Vegas is expected to visit Ann Arbor soon.
- If I had to guess at Michigan's 2018 board, I would guess QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson is the top player on it.

Maryland couple provides home care services
After caring for elderly family members for years, local couple Jack and Pat Savage realized the importance of home care services throughout Maryland.
So in 2015, the Savage family opened ComForCare Home Care in Glen Burnie. The franchise provides help to in-need individuals at home, independent and assisted-living communities, hospitals, nursing homes, and more. The couple recently celebrated their two-year anniversary with the business.
Prior to ComForCare, Jack spent the majority of his career working in federal government contracting, while Pat practiced law in Anne Arundel County and the surrounding region. Together, plan to bring qualified home care and companionship services to families across the state.
Jack Savage sat down with MDBizNews to answer a few questions.
Q: How did you first discover ComForCare?
A: My wife Pat and I came across ComForCare Home Care in a “Biz for Sale” listing in the summer of 2014. We saw the value of this business after taking care of Pat’s elderly parents for several years and seeing what a difference outside caregivers and agencies, like ours, can make in the lives of our clients and families at an affordable price.
Q: The number of seniors in the U.S. is increasing quickly. How will this impact the home care industry?
A: In the next two decades, there will be more than 70 million people over the age of 65 in the United States. Nearly one out of four U.S households has a need for a caregiver – for a relative or to help a friend. This will lead to more patients in need of our services.
Q: How will this growth impact your business? Do you have plans to expand in Anne Arundel County or Maryland?
A: The growing number of older people represents a tremendous opportunity for companies, like ComForCare, that recognize it and position themselves to capture a large share of the business in this fast growing sector. As a matter of fact, we recently purchased the neighboring ComForCare territory covering all of Howard County, and small portions of Montgomery and Baltimore County. As we take on more patients we will need to hire more caregivers, which may lead to additional locations.
Q: What is one misconception people have about the home care industry?
A: A misconception is that we are only there once someone is sick and can no longer take care of themselves. Our services are available around the clock, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services include a wide range of non-medical activities ranging from bathing, showering and hygiene assistance, to cleaning, laundry, transportation and much more. We serve not only as caretakers, but as companions as well.
Q: What advice would you give to someone interested in owning a franchise?
A: We wish we knew more about the existing business infrastructure before we took it over. Get to know your franchisor, including some of the people you will be working with. Make sure you like them and that they genuinely like you. And finally, read the franchise agreement carefully along with your attorney to make sure you understand what you are getting into.

Michigan Friday: Why Play Florida in Dallas?
When David Brandon was driving the Michigan Football Bus off a cliff, I believe it was Brian Cook at Mgoblog you said that David wanted to be Jerry Jones. That is 100% accurate as David moved two Michigan home games to Jerry World. The first game was more of a scrimmage for Alabama as they played Denard and an Al Borges offense. I 'm betting many of you have removed that game from your memory and mad at me for even bringing it up.
I just don't understand why you play this game in Dallas? You take a home game away from the team and Michigan fans/season ticket holders. You also lose a recruiting weekend.
Yes, I get this will be one of the best games opening weekend (FSU does play Alabama as well). I have no problem with Michigan playing Florida, I just rather it be a home -away contract. Play in Ann Arbor and then in Gainesville the next year.
When you put a college football game in an NFL stadium it loses some of its luster if you ask me. I attended the Orange Bowl and sat in the Michigan section. It was nothing like the Big House or even how I imagine The Swamp to be. That is the beauty of College Football. Should we play Ohio State at Ford Field or in Cleveland? Hell No! That would never be up for discussion. (I did want to play MSU at Ford Field when the Big Ten changed the divisions, so Michigan didn't have to travel to East Lansing in back to back years, but Brandon dropped the ball on that one as well)
Jimmy and the Wolverines also play very poorly in night games. The ones that come to mind are all losses, Utah, Iowa, Orange Bowl. I might be mistaken but I believe the only night game win under Harbaugh is at Rutgers 78-0.
So why rant about this now? The tickets for the Dallas - Florida game are now on sale. They start at $105 for nose bleeds and end at $305 for decent seats. $610 for two decent seats - Thank You David Brandon! If your wondering, Toys-R-Us has to sell 47 Barbie Dolls to get two decent tickets to the Michigan - Florida game.
- More examples that 2018 will be a small recruiting class, Steve Lorenz is saying Michigan is already done recruiting DE and LB for the class. Michigan has one commit for each position at this point. I'm guessing this class might be done by this summer and the NSD drama might be pretty quiet.
- 2018 Marietta (Ga.) Lassiter 3-star CB Christian Jackson visited A2 yesterday.

Sign Up Now For Farm-Fresh Local Produce

Marylanders are encouraged to join a Community Supported Agriculture farm this year to support local farmers while receiving fresh produce all summer long.
Members pay an upfront subscription fee to farmers in return for a share of the season’s harvest, which is usually provided weekly. For convenience, many Community Supported Ag farms deliver to central locations for pickup closer to subscriber’s home or work on a certain day of the week—others have special rates if the subscriber helps with the harvest on the farm.
“Community Supported Agriculture farms are another way for residents to buy fresh, local food directly from a farmer,” said Agriculture Secretary Joe Bartenfelder. “This is a great time of year to join a program and enjoy a summer full of fresh Maryland produce. By purchasing local food, consumers are helping to keep land in farming rather than development.”
According to the most recent agricultural census completed in 2012 by the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service, there are 12,549 farms in the United States marketing their products through Community Supported Agriculture, including 119 in Maryland.
