It's easy to say that Moe made the right decision and DJ's is much more risky. Which I'm sure he understands, we don't know if DJ's family needs the money or what the NBA scouts are saying to him. Either way, a late first rounder is pretty much guaranteed a Summer League spot and few million dollars. Does he end up at the end of a roster or in the D-League? Either way he will have to work on his game as a professional from here on out. How many of us felt this was a possibility a year ago? I assume not many.
Mgoblog says that Illinois State grad transfer Mikyle MacIntosh might be an option to fill the open spot or 2017/18 recruit Canadian SF/PF Ignas Brazdeikis. Sam Webb thinks Pitt transfer Cam Johnson will get a look as well. Transfers have really become a huge part of college basketball these days.
