Last month, more than 650 people gathered at the Hilton Baltimore for the first Maryland Governor’s Business Summit.
Governor Hogan kicked-off the day reminding attendees that Maryland is Open for Business, and highlighting the driving influences behind Maryland’s momentum, including efforts to create jobs and cut taxes. Governor Hogan also discussed how Maryland will continue the momentum through programs like More Jobs for Marylanders and Excel Maryland. Following Governor Hogan’s address, panels and other keynotes focused on important business-related topics, ranging from private equity to foreign investment.
As photos show, it was a day full of energy, idea-sharing and networking.
With Summit survey respondents rating their experience a 9 out of 10, and attendees buzzing about a 2018 Summit, it’s safe to say the day was a success.
“I hope this event continues for many years to come,” said one survey respondent. “The event was insightful, enjoyable and great for professional development.”
Tré Steger-Smith, Owner, Founder & Consultant of TE Enterprises Consulting in Southern Maryland said, “It was well worth the trip, and I hope that it will continue year after year.”
