Towson Man Pleads Guilty to String of Armed Robberies

Elbert Darrell Crump, 47, will face 20 years in prison under a plea deal with federal prosecutors, with sentencing sent for March 4, according to U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein’s office. The first robbery was Jan. 14, when a masked Crump entered the Dollar Tree on East Joppa Road and pointed a semi-automatic handgun at a cashier before fleeing with cash from the register drawer and a dollar from a nearby customer.
