It won't be much longer before some of the most creative people in Baltimore will have a new place to experiment, build and even forge.
The Foundery, located in Sagamore Development's City Garage, will officially open in about 20,000 square feet on May 16.
Although the space isn't completely finished, attendees of Light City Baltimore's Creative Innovation Conference were given a chance to look inside the Foundery on Friday.
The Foundery will be open seven days a week — though exact hours haven't been determined — and will offer monthly memberships for startups and individuals to use all of the equipment in the space. All members will also be able to enroll in classes that will teach them the skills necessary to utilize the equipment.
