What are you working on this year? The SmartLogic development team is always trying out new things and is eager to share what they’ve learned.
Check out what the SmartLogic team is doing when they’re not in the office with this month’s developer blog club round-up:
- For Dan Ivovich, SmartLogic’s Director of Development Operations, the beginning of the year has been all about shaking off old habits. After 4 years of being an iPhone user, Dan made the switch to Androidand recommends you try changing too. He also stopped banging the drum for Chefand is using Docker and Heroku more often. And since Dan is using Docker more often, he has a guide for using Let’s Encrypt with Docker.
- Developer Eric Oestrich spent January expanding his personal project, Worfcam, which we’ll have more info on in a few weeks. He began hosting his own Kubernetes NodePort Load Balancer. Since WorfCam is an application to help you view photos of your pets at home Eric wanted his photos to load fast. To help with speed he added a Redis Cache for Google Cloud Storage Access. Also for Worfcam, Eric is playing around with privacy for files and is generating signed URLs that expire for Google Cloud Storage.
- If you missed it on the SmartLogic blog last week, our Director of Client Services Brian Sierakowski highlighted the importance of strong revenue data and a tool that can help your SAAS company grow its revenues.
