Wolveine Wednesday: Loves Bullet Points

  • Great to see Grant Newsome running again.  Jimmy showed a video of him running on his twitter account.   What a story from getting injured, to the Michigan team doctors finding something serious in the locker room, to almost losing his leg, to getting him to the hospital quick enough so that didn't happen and now he is running and probably will play again.   That is the Michigan Difference!

  • There has been some camp buzz that James Hudson has been doing some work at Offensive Tackle.  If you remember, James is a true freshman that was recruited to play DE.  This could be some tinkering or nothing at all.   If your going to beat an OT as a DE, its also good to understand the OT position.  For future NFL earnings, both positions pay well and are in high demand!    Jimmy has already moved true freshman LB Ben Mason to FB (though that was probably the plan day 1).

  • Jimmy has been getting some heat from the media and other opponents about not releasing a two deep or a roster.   He will release the fall roster in a week on 8/30.

  • Lots of camp buzz with Khaleke Hudson playing Peppers Viper role.  Sounds like he is ready for Dallas:  “My second year I feel that I’m going to the ball faster,” Hudson said. “I’m moving faster because I know everything. I just feel like I am moving faster and I know the defense a lot more, I’m able to move fast and react to things faster.”

  • Jon Jr. talks about playing at Michigan in the shadow of his famous father:  "My dad was one of the [greatest] offensive linemen to come out of the University of Michigan so I kind of feel that pressure walking past his face on the All-American wall every day," Runyan said. "I can just feel it every time I walk past it. There is some pressure but I try not to pay too much attention to it."

  • Gary made the second team pre-season All American Team.
