I'm so glad that Michigan has landed 3 recruits this week.  There really isn't much to talk about with a blow out on Saturday and Michigan a 35 point favorite on this Saturday at 3:30.   It seems BTN was doing some load balancing and put a clear noon game at 3:30.

Michigan landed another slot WR and super ninja from California Giles Jackson on Monday afternoon.   Giles is 5'8 and 175 pounds and light up Nike's Opening to become a national recruit vs. a local one.  He ran a 4.43 and 3.85 in the shuttle to have the highest SPAQ score at the event.

Giles is also good friends and 7 on 7 teammate with future Michigan QB Cade McNamara.  Who clearly did some recruiting on Michigan's behalf:  "Cade became a huge factor," said Jackson. "He'd been trying to sell me on Michigan the past two weeks. I was messing with him all weekend, and he didn't know I was going to Michigan with him yet."

Jackson's offer list included:  USC, Oregon, Oregon State, CAL, Florida, Colorado, Hawaii and more.  Giles said he isn't taking any more visits but he might want to take the Hawaii one for a long weekend.  :)

"The biggest reason I picked Michigan is because I feel like they offer everything I need to be successful in life," said Jackson. "Plus, they were the only school that had my major out of all the others and the coaching staff at Michigan is great."

Michigan is clearly looking to add speed to the program and Jackson offers that.  I expect he will be a slot WR and a guy they can use for returns.   Michigan's next important visit is this weekend with 5 star safety Dax Hill.  The Wolverines also need some tall outside WR's.

  • The Penn State game will be a noon kick off and a Maize Out.  Many had predicted it to be a night game, which didn't happen.   FS1 will carry the broadcast.

  • Jimmy had his regular press conference on Monday and the only news  (which really wasn't news) was that there isn't a time table for Black's return and Solomon and Marshall are week to week.
