Michigan Monday: Let's One Get Away

Michigan Basketball had a very good first half on Saturday night.  MSU was lucky to only be down 6 points at half time.   The only issue the Wolverines had was some foul trouble, Iggy was on fire but was on the bench with 2 fouls and that was only after Livers had been sitting with two fouls as well.

The foul trouble continued and some cold shooting hit in the second half and the Wolverines lost to Sparty.  Michigan went from a share of the Big Ten Championship to a 3rd seed in the Big Ten Tournament with that loss.

There where a couple of positives from the game.   Poole and Iggy shot the ball well and Michigan played a very good half of basketball on the road.  From here on out, it will be all neutral courts.   Michigan's offense needs to continue to move the ball and not get stuck with Simpson or Teske shooting 3's.

On to the post season.  Michigan will play Iowa - NW/Illinois winner on Friday.

• Moe Wagner got his first NBA start on Saturday and went for 22 points.   He will get plenty of time as the Lakers rest for the rest of the season. 

• Wisconsin QB Alex Hornibrook is transferring to FSU - Interesting choice mostly after missing a ton of games at the end of last season with a concussion. 

• Things I didn't know:  Chase Winovich went on a date with Madonna's daughter at U of M.  He was asked about it during his combine interviews. 

• Michigan Football starts Spring Practice on Sunday.
