Michigan Tuesday: Wonders About Spring Practice?

Jimmy clearly believes that Spring Practice is more about the 14 practices then playing a scrimmage in front of a few thousand people in the Big House.   This year is no expectation with Michigan breaking in a new starting QB and many on the offensive line.   So now what?

Hopefully, Michigan will be able to get those 14 practices in sometime this summer.   Maybe a summer camp or something?  Or they could just extend Fall camp an extra 14 more days.

Here are a few questions I was hoping would be answered during Spring Practice:

  •  M vs. M:  McCaffrey vs. Milton for the starting QB role.  My guess is there is a plan in place to play both QB's a ton during the season.
  • Welcome back Chris Evans.  How does he fit into Gattis offense?
  • How is the new OL working out, are they jelling?
  • Is the D Line any better?
  • Pass Rush?
  • Which freshman will make an impatct?

In Don Brown I don't trust, so I hope some of the new voices in the room make a difference like Ed Warriner has made on the offensive line.

  • Ben VanSumeran is moving from FB to LB.  This is a good move as Ben has a hard time holding on to the ball.

  • Michigan AD Warde Manuel is taking a pay cut due to the Virus.   This should of happened after he negotiated that ND home and home contract.
