The Foundery at City Garage is ready to debut. Here’s what you need to know.

The Foundery will officially open the doors of its new 19,000-square-foot space to entrepreneurs, artists and small businesses June 14.

The Foundery, located inside City Garage in Port Covington, will hold open houses 4-8 p.m. May 16 through May 20 to show off the 19,000-square-foot space, which is stocked with woodworking, metal and bench tools, plus industrial grade manufacturing equipment.

The facility previously was a stand-alone makerspace with limited hours and classes, operating out of a 2,000-square-foot space on Central Avenue near Little Italy. In October, the Foundery announced it would become part of City Garage, the bus depot turned into an innovation hub by Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank’s personal investment arm, Sagamore Ventures. City Garage is at 101 W. Dickman St.
