Governor Larry Hogan announced today that Lidl, one of the world’s largest retailers, will open a new regional headquarters and distribution center in the Principio Business Park in Cecil County as part of its U.S. expansion. The company will invest $100 million in the project and create 100 new full-time jobs at the facility over the next three years. The company plans to open its first stores in the U.S. no later than 2018.
