Michigan Monday: Starting To Pick Up the Pieces and Rutgers

Michigan got blown out last Saturday night which is now history.   It's time to start putting back the pieces of the puzzle for this season and looking at pieces for next as well.

The Rutgers game is the time to do that and the hope is Jimmy gives Brandon Peters that many fans have wanted since the Spring Game.

Rutgers is 3-3 and on a 2 game win streak against Illinois and Purdue

They pass for 133 yards a game (122 in the country)
They run of 167 (63)

Defense gives up 23 points (53) a game

They score 26 (84th) points.

ESPN Big Ten Rank: 12 ahead of Maryland and Illinois.

This is not the Rutgers team from last year and they are getting better.   Chris Ash has them playing better defense and being .500 at this point of the season is a win for the program and the new coach.

They did lose to OSU 56-0 three weeks ago and Michigan should still hold an advantage in talent and coaching.  We saw a ton of freshman play against Penn State and I expect to see more this week.  Would love to see more Nico Collins and Kwity Paye.

Time to start building what the team will look like next year.  Let's see if the coaches agree.
