Clinicians with MedStar Health Inc. are now able to review medical records electronically after the Columbia-based health system announced Wednesday it was nearing full restoration of its three main clinical IT systems.
The news came two days after the $4.6 billion health system's online operations were shut down Monday as a result of malware. MedStar officials said they detected malware had penetrated their information systems and shut the system down as a defense tactic.
