Baltimore’s annual neighborhood-level data report is out

Last year’s Vital Signs report from the Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance-Jacob France Institute was a key resource for national media looking to provide hard evidence of the inequality brought to the fore by the riots that followed Freddie Gray’s funeral.

As the anniversary (and national media) arrive, the latest Vital Signs is available for consumption and processing.

Notably, this year’s report adds an expanded look at indicators on Arts & Culture. BNIA-JFI Associate DirectorSeema Iyer said her organization has been working with partners from the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts, Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance and the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation. BNIA-JFA also had aBaltimore Corps fellow focused specifically on how to collect arts and culture data annually.
