Johns Hopkins to launch new health accelerator to replace Dreamit in Baltimore

The health care-focused accelerator Dreamit Health will no longer operate in Baltimore and Johns Hopkins University is launching a new accelerator in its place.

Dreamit Health launched in Baltimore in 2014 and hosted two classes of startup companies. The accelerator’s parent company, Dreamit Ventures, earlier this year shifted its approach from one focused on geographic accelerators, like Baltimore’s, to a “global” model that will accept companies from anywhere and allow them to participate without relocating.
