Michigan Friday: An Early Canidate To Replace Lavall Jordan

The rumor mill is spinning that Jermaine Jackson (not the King of Pop's brother) might be inline to replace Lavell Jordan on Michigan's staff.   Jermaine is a local Detroit guy, played at UD and also played professional basketball in the NBA and all over the world.

He was the HS head coach for Mount Clemons and I believe Jermaine is now on UD's staff as an assistant.   There is a Jermaine, Jr. who is a 5'9 guard who is a 3 star recruit with offers from Syracuse, SMU, Auburn, Northwestern, Georgia Tech and some others.

We will see if this happens or not.  I hope he know how to coach defense.

  • Michigan is really recruiting Cass Tech's DB Jaylen Kelly-Powell.  Michigan wants him as a Safety which is a huge need for this class.   Michigan has a few things going for them; Jaylen has a number of friends on Michigan's roster, location, and Jaylen has become good friends with Michigan commit from Alabama J’Marick Woods.  Reports are he is planning to make a summer decision and will enroll in January.

If I had to guess at Michigan's recruiting Big Board right now, here are the top 3 players:
  1. Donovan People-Jones WR
  2. Cesar Ruiz, C
  3. Jaylen Kelly-Powell, DB/S

  • IMG's DT Cam Spence committed to DJ Durkin and Maryland this morning.  A big win over Ohio State for DJ.
