South Korean video game company Nexon is acquiring Timonium-based Big Huge Games, according to a press release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition follows a strategic partnership between the two companies on Big Huge-developed DomiNations. The mobile strategy game has racked up 19 million downloads since being launched last year, according to Nexon. The deal will allow the two companies to continue servicing DomiNations, which just launched a big update in December. Big Huge brings development expertise, while Nexon adds marketing.
“DomiNations has achieved great success in both the West and Asia, and we’re excited to work with Big Huge Games to deliver the best quality gameplay to fans for years to come,” Nexon CEO Owen Mahoney said in a statement.
