Could developers be the bass players of the tech industry? In other words, they’re the folks that everyone needs, but no one can find—at least that’s one conclusion drawn from the latest State of the Industry survey from IT staffing associationTechServe Alliance. Charting the course of tech staffing over the past 12 months, the most recent edition names developer skills the most challenging to find among IT talent.
The staffing professionals who participated in the poll also named high-level specialized talent (12%), project managers, analysts and security (all 9%) as difficult skills to come by. But developers led by a wide margin, with 46% of respondents calling it the hardest skill set to come by.
