Neighborhood BusinessWorks wins MEDA award

The Neighborhood BusinessWorks (NBW), a program of the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), has been selected to receive the Economic Development Program Award for the impact it made on small businesses and neighborhoods in the state of Maryland.

Celebrating 20 years of small business support and growth, Neighborhood BusinessWorks was the first Smart Growth Initiative established in Maryland. Learn more on DHCD’s website.

The Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) enhances the knowledge and skills of its members and encourages partnerships and networking among those committed to bringing jobs and investment to Maryland.

MEDA is a nonprofit organization of economic development professionals. Established in 1961, MEDA members promote the economic well being of Maryland by working to improve the states business climate and the professionalism of those in the field of economic development.
