South Baltimore gets energy boost with new coffee shop

Planit is bringing a jolt of energy to your morning commute with the addition of a coffee shop, Order & Chaos Coffee, to its new office space this August.

The announcement brews up excitement in the region, with hopes to welcome both residents and local businesses. The Baltimore marketing agency’s recent move to the Key Highway Business District is bringing exciting energy to the burgeoning waterfront area. While Planit was searching for a larger customizable office space, they were drawn to the opportunities to engage in the community life of South Baltimore.

Planit purchased the new historic office space last April, but the building was originally the home of a Syrup King Molasses warehouse. The move from East Pratt Street was based on the desire for more space, which the new 26,000 square foot office provides, and also the opportunity to cultivate a creative environment for both employees and the local public.

The once industrial neighborhood of Key Highway has become a place for small entrepreneurs to develop their brands and create unique spaces. Order & Chaos will contribute to the growth of this business district, while simultaneously giving back to the thriving residential community.

The shop will cater to corporate caffeine lovers with various types of gourmet coffee and light fare. The unique location within Planit’s office space also melds business and pleasure as the company hopes Order & Chaos will reflect their own energized brand culture, while also serving as a space that invites the local public to relax and reboot.

“Order & Chaos’ name reflects both the design of our new office space as well as our agency’s creative philosophy,” said Ed Callahan, co-founder and creative strategist at Planit. “The coffee shop’s opening gives us a unique opportunity to exhibit our brand, inspire creativity and become a staple in South Baltimore.”

The marketing agency is all about inventing creative new channels and innovative insights for its clients, and have now done the same for its own brand. This coffee shop expands Planit’s scope of reach as a business, and also strengthens ties between the company and local residents.
